We had a great week at HITS Saugerties!
Pat competed his young, talented mare, Suki in the Level 1 Jumpers at HITS Saugerties. Pat and Suki competed all week in a class of 60 competitors and consistently came in the top 20. We were so happy with how well Suki did and I was immensely proud of both Pat and Suki for doing so well in this highly competitive field. Congrats Pat and Suki!

We’re all smiles!
All week we had Horse Camp, which went great! We had a lot of fun riding, finger painting
the horses, dressing the horses up, decorating their stalls, watching a farrier
demonstration by Tommy, watching a jumping demonstration by Nikki and Heather, and of
course, staying up late watching horse movies at the Horse Camp Sleepover! Thanks to all
who participated! I really enjoyed hosting all of you! Thank you to Nikki, Heather, my
dad, and my mom for all of their help and contributations! I’d like to send a another
big thank you out to all of the horse owners who so generously allowed us to use their
mounts all week- Darryl who owns Rannita, Robert who is Geronimo’s owner, Cindy who owns
Rosey, and Pat who is Lucky’s owner. Can’t wait until Horse Camp 2010!

Dr.Robert Kiltz of CNY Fertility/CNY Healing Arts/CNY Fertility Kid’s Club, the event’s sponsor, Mary Ellen of Freedom Recreation Services, and myself enjoying the beautiful day!
On Saturday we hosted a fund raiser for Freedom Recreation Services, the organization
that provides funding for the riding program for children with special needs that I host.
We had beautiful weather all day and a great turn out! I’d like to thank everyone who
helped bring this all together and made it run so smoothly. I’d also like to send out a
big thanks to the Molly Shea Band for keeping us all rockin’! We also had face painting,
a cookout, a magic show, and of course, horse rides!

Championships all around!
Avery rode Rosey in the Maiden and Novice Divisions and came in Reserve Grand Champion. This was Avery’s first show with us and I am so glad she is now part of Team Affleck. Well done Avery!
Nikki showed Lucky in the Children’s Hunters and also came in Reserve Grand Champion! They had the most beautiful jumping rounds that I’ve seen them have all year. Great job, Nikki!
Pat rode hard to a well earned Reserve Grand Championship in the Schooling Jumpers on his mare, Suki. This pair is really coming into their own and I’m so proud to be the one putting them in the ring!
I rode Rayden in the Green Puddle Jumpers and also came in Reserve Grand Champion. It was his first time in the jumpers and I was very happy with how well he did!

On Saturday, Cindy and I attended the LCH Trail Ride in Otisco. Cindy rode her pony, Rosey, and I rode Geronimo. We enjoyed some amazing views of the Otisco valley and the lake. There was a great turn out for the ride and we were all treated to an amazing chicken bbq afterwards! What a fun way to spend a Saturday in the summer! Thank you to LCH for putting on such a fun event!
