Wow! What a great Horse Camp we had this year! Thank you to all of my helpers and the very generous horse owners for letting me use your sweet horses for camp!

Myself on Step ‘N Fetch It

This weekend I was able to compete in the Hunter Derby at the Summer in Skaneateles Horse Show!  I placed 6th out of 14 entries.  The Hunter Derby was the feature event on Saturday’s schedule.  It took place out on the grass hunt field and had a beautiful course of  jumps set up.  The event had two rounds; those who scored high enough on their first round were called back for a shortened second round.  The second round course had very tricky turns, a trot  jump, and a gallop jump.  Everyone had a great time and I can not wait to ride in more of these events!

Congrats to Payton on winning the 10 & Under Walk Trot Pleasure Championship on Ginger, owned by Molly Shea.  Tina also competed  (for the very first time!) and won the Adult Walk Trot Pleasure Championship, also on Ginger!

Congrats to Vanessa on winning two Leadline Classes! Vanessa won the Walk Leadline Class as well as the Walk Trot Leadline Class. This was Vanessa’s first time trotting in the show ring. Congrats!

Michelle also showed her horse, Roani, in the Adult Equitation and Adult Hunter divisions.  She came away with three 2nds and three 3rds! Great job Michelle!

Our 5 Mile Team- Renee Lane on her horse, Harangue, and Haviland Hawkins on Geronimo, owned by Dr.Robert Kiltz, and myself on Fine Behind won the 5 mile pace!

Our 10 Mile Team- Cindy Kowalski on Rosey, Chris Lego on Tango, and Jeff Shingleton on Mason, placed 2nd in the 10 mile pace. Congrats!

Last weekend Team Affleck (Chris, Jeff, and Cindy) won the Hunter Pace in Cazenovia sponsored by Limestone Creek Hunt. Great job team!

Congratulations to Vanessa on winning a first place and a second place on her pony, Rannita, in Leadline this weekend!

Congratulations to Lily on winning Walk-Trot Hunter Hack and placing 6th in Walk-Trot Pleasure and 6th in Walk-Trot Equitation on Saturday.  This was Lily’s first horse show ever!

Congratulations to Payton on winning 2nd place in Walk-Trot Hunter Hack, 3rd in Walk-Trot Pleasure, and 6th in Walk-Trot Equitation on Sunday.  This was Payton’s first time showing walk and trot!

Congratulations to Molly on winning her Hunter Under Saddle class, placing 2nd in Hunter Pleasure, and getting 2nd places in all of her Over Fences classes! Well done!

Little Red Wagon (Wagon Limit x Nal Edge) won second place in the Thoroughbred 2 Year Old Filly Class in the Hunter Breeding Division at the Devon Horse Show. I could not be more proud of this promising youngster.  She made a  great horse show debut at the one of the toughest horse shows in the country and I look forward to moving forward with her horse show career!

On Saturday we enjoyed the Limestone Creek Hunt Club’s trail ride at Hobbit Hollow Stables in Skaneateles, NY.  Molly on her horse Ginger, Cindy and her pony Rosey, myself on Geronimo owned by Dr.Robert Kiltz, Chris on her pony Tango and Jeff on his horse Mason all enjoyed the beautiful trails and a lovely lunch afterwards.

Jamee Swope, riding Farmer Jo owned by Renee and Joe Lane, won the Pre-Adult Hunter Over Fences class and placed 4th and 8th in the other over fences classes as well as 4th in the Pre-Adult Equitation on the Flat class.

Rayden, owned by Complete Industrial Insulation, and ridden by Claire Affleck placed 2nd in the .75 Meter Jumpers and 1st in the .85 Meter Jumpers.

Shannon Rogers, riding Ginger Snap Decision owned by Molly Shea, placed 7th in both Maiden Equitation Over Fences classes and 8th in the Maiden Equitation on the Flat class.

Congratulations to Vanessa on her blue ribbon in Leadline. This was Vanessa’s first horse show and she came away with the blue ribbon on her very own pony, Rannita!

with ribbons in both over fences classes and 2nd place on the flat! Shannon also rode
Ginger in the Beginner Junior Equitation Division.

Jamee and Jo are ready to show!

Jamee rode Farmer Jo, owned by Renee Lane, in the Special Adults.  She had two perfect
rounds over fences and got great ribbons in all of her classes!  Jamee also showed Taken Not Given, also owned by Renee Lane.  Jamee did a wonderful job of riding this young horse to ribbons in two very competitive flat classes.  I competed Harangue, owned by Renee Lane, in the Hopeful Hunters.    We came away with a ribbon over fences and another one after a lovely flat class.
