This past Sunday was the Opening Hunt for the Limestone Creek Hunt, as well as the Parade of Hounds and Blessing of the Hounds. Hailey rode her horse, Pirate, Dr. Robert Kiltz rode his horse, Geronimo, and I rode Maeve, a 5 year old Irish Sport Horse mare that I’ve been training all summer. The Parade and the Blessing were beautiful and I thank all of our supporters who came out to the event. The hunt was fast and fun. The hounds hunted great but the wiley fox bested us yet again!

Claire rode Elianna to success in the Baby Green Hunters placing 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. This young horse is coming along beautifully and we’re looking forward to competing her at the Autumn in NY Horse Show in October.
Kerston rode Four Feet of Snow aka “Red”, in the .85 M and the .95 M Jumper classes. They placed 7th and 8th the first night out of a very large and competitve field. The last night they placed an impressive 2nd in the .95 M Speed Class and even tried their hand in the 1.0 M class placing 6th! Well done!

Congrats to Team Affleck on their great success this weekend at the Corner Haven Farm Horse Show! I rode Elianna in the Suitable Hunters and won the Championship! Emily flatted Elianna and came in first place! Lily rode Rannita in Walk Trot and they also won the Championship! Vanessa rode Rannita in Leadline and won first place! Reagen rode Majestic in the Puddle Jumpers and won Reserve Champion! Kerston rode the newest addition to Team Affleck, Russell, in the Children’s Hunters and came in the Top Three. Congrats everyone on their great riding and great sportsmanship!

Congrats to Team Affleck on winning 2nd place at the Limestone Creek Hunter Pace at Hobbit Hollow in June. Dr. Rob rode Geronimo, Reagen rode Majestic (in their first hunter pace ever!), and I rode Fine. We were less than one minute off the ideal pace. Well done Team!

We had a great Horse Camp 2011! With a total of 12 campers, this our biggest and best camp yet! We carried on some of the regular horse camp traditions, including finger painting the horses, painting horse shoes, a farrier demonstration, dress up day, and of course, a horse “wedding”. We also added a few new traditions including a “slip and slide” and having the sleepover in a tent! Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s camp the most fun camp to date! We are already planning for Camp 2012…

Claire showed Elianna in the Level 1 Hunters at the Summer in Skaneateles Horse Show. They had great rounds over fences and placed 2nd in the big under saddle class!
Kerston showed Four Feet of Snow to great success in the Children’s Hunter division. They came away with a 6th, a couple 4ths and 3rds, and placed 7th in the big Children’s Hunter Classic class! Congrats Kerston!

Congrats to Lily and Rannita on winning the Walk Trot Championship at the Corner Haven Farm Horse Show on Sunday! And a big congrats to Reagen and Majestic! They competed in the jumper division for the very first time and came away with three third place ribbons! Well done everyone!

Congratulations Hailey and the Williams Family!
Hailey and the Williams family are now proud owners of their first horse, Lil’ Pirate, aka “Pirate”. Pirate is a 6 year old Thoroughbred/Paint/Clydesdale. He has experience fox hunting, has the smoothest gaits around, and is very sweet!
