Educational and entertaining Merrylegs: Breanne shows us how to do a horse riding exercise called “Around the World” atop Geronimo. Lily rode Geronimo for the first time in a leadline competition and they both did a great job! Breanne offers commentary during the video. Breanne shares a fun fact about horses and their sleeping habits. We had a great time at the LCH Master’s Hunter Trials in Cazenovia this weekend! Lynn competed on Dr.Kiltz’s Geronimo in the Junior Hunter division and won a 4th place ribbon in the over fences class! Claire showed Chris’s horse, Chance in the Open Hunter division and got 6th in the over fences class. On Sunday Claire attended Limestone Creek’s opening hunt. The hunt began with the Parade of Hounds down Main Street in Cazenovia, NY. The parade was great fun for the riders as well as the spectators! Claire rode Dr. Kiltz’s Geronimo in the first field on the hunt and had a glorious time! The hounds were fantastic, the horses were wonderful, with great people, and lots of fun gallops and jumps along the way!
On Sunday we attended the last horse show in the Classic Series at Heritage Stables right here in Skaneateles, NY. Lily rode Dr.Robert Kiltz’s horse, Geronimo, in Leadline and came away with 7th place! Heather schooled Silent Heart but showed Ransom in Walk Trot and earned three 7th place ribbons! Breanne also showed Ransom and got a 5th, 7th, and 8th in Maiden Walk Trot. Nice show ladies! Lily and Geronimo! Pat and Lucky, Lynn with Dr.Robert Kiltz’s Geronimo, and Claire with Chance On Saturday we attended the Limestone Creek Hunt Club Hunter Pace in Cazenovia, NY. Pat, Lynn, and Claire rode as a team. Chris rode Shadow and Jeff rode Mason as another team. We had so much fun riding the 10 mile pace! The views were great, with nice walks in the woods as well as beautiful fields with places to gallop and jump. Thank you LCH for hosting such a lovely event!
Our lovely new stall curtains! We started the week by taking Heather, Elise, Breanne, and Pat to the Coliseum Classic Horse Show at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Pat rode Suki in the Schooling and Baby Green hunters on Tuesday and put in some excellent rounds! Suki jumped everything beautifully! Breanne showed Ransom in Maiden Walk Trot. She had three flawless classes and got ribbons in each one. Elise also competed on Ransom in Walk Trot and got a 3rd in Equitation as well as ribbons in under saddle, pleasure, and both cross rail classes! Heather showed Dr.Kiltz’s horse, Geronimo, in Walk Trot. What a beautiful team that was! This pair also came home with ribbons in each class. I was so proud of all of the competitors for not only showing off their excellent riding skills but for being such great sportsman! Nice job everyone!
