I also competed Rayden, owned by Roxanne Whitkowski, in the .85M Jumpers. We had a clear round in the Speed Class, coming in 5th, and in the Power & Speed Class we had a rail and came in 6th. We had a lot of fun and I’m so pleased with how this youngster is coming along!
Pat rode his mare, Suki, in the .95M Jumpers as well as the Marshall & Sterling Medal Class.
Claire on Cheers, Dr.Kiltz on Geronimo, Cindy on Rosey
On Saturday we participated in the Limestone Creek Hunt ride at Hobbit Hollow Stables in
Skaneateles, NY. I rode Chris’s pony, Cheers, Dr.Kiltz rode his horse, Geronimo, and
Cindy rode her pony, Rosey. We enjoyed perfect weather and a fun ride through the hills
overlooking Skaneateles Lake. When we returned from the ride we were treated to an
amazing gourmet lunch hosted by Hobbit Hollow. What a lovely way to spend a Saturday;
horses, food, and friends!
We just wrapped up another very successful session of the Freedom Riders! This spring we were excited to have a lot of new riders join us. We were also very pleased to see some familar faces return. We had an excellent team of compassionate volunteers that really make it possible for this program to succeed. The children really connect with the volunteers and their horses. It is such an amazing feeling to be able to introduce horses and riding to these children and see them enjoy it as much as I do! We are all looking forward to the fall session in November!
We have the results from the If Only Farm Horse Show on Sunday May, 3rd. First, I would
like to congratulate our youngest rider, Payton, on her very first horse show! She rode
Rosey in the Leadline Class and won a blue ribbon! Wow!
Lynn rides Rayden in his first show!
Lynn rode Rayden this weekend and it was also his first horse show! They were in the
Schooling Hunter division and both did an amazing job! They put in two excellent over
fence classes and were flawless in their under saddle class. Great job Lynn!
Nikki and Lucky win in the Children’s Hunter division!
Nikki showed Lucky in the Children’s Hunter division. They looked beautiful and did a fabulous job and also won a blue ribbon! Congrats Nikki!
Heather and Rosey have a double clear round in the Puddle Jumpers!
Heather was on Rosey for the Puddle Jumper division and what an exciting time that was.
Heather went clear in her first round, made it to the jump off against some stiff
competition, went clear in the jump off, and came in third place! Awesome!
Pat and Suki tackle the Gambler’s Choice Jumper class and win it!
Pat showed Suki in the Schooling Jumper division, where the jumps are 3′-3′3″, for the
first time. They had everyone on the edge of their seats in the big Gambler’s Choice
class and they won it! It was really an amazing class to watch. Wonderful job, Pat!
Patrick showed Suki in the Level 1 Jumpers this week at the Syracuse PHA Horse Show at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY.His division was a field of 15 horses, consisting of some of the best professional riders in the region. In a very exciting final class, that had an extremely tough course, Pat and Suki placed 5th!As an example of how hard that course was, only one rider, a professional, went clear in that class. Great job, Pat and Suki!
In the two videos below Breanne measures Merrylegs (a miniature horse) and Geronimo (a Fresian cross) to compare the physical differences in the two horses. Great job Breanne! Educational and entertaining
